October 4, 2013 Animals: Art and Riddles

The Navigators are studying animals in Science. Today Ms. Head, the Seabury Serpents teacher, taught us a lesson on how to draw animals. We looked at famous artists, such as Albrecht Dürer, and discovered that many shapes found in nature are round and oval. By incorporating these into our own sketches, we are able to draw sketches of animals. 






We are also learning the taxonomy of animals. Using our new found knowledge, we each wrote a "guess my animal" riddle. See if you can guess this animal:
