A tessellation is created when a shape is repeated over and over again covering a plane without any gaps or overlaps.
In celebration of Math Month at Seabury the Navigators coupled math with art by studying the art of M.C. Escher. We then experimented with pattern blocks, geometric shapes and creating our own patterns. The results were whimsical, creative and mathematically fun. At Family Math Night even the parents took on the challenge!
