Last week of school: Navigator Puppets

The last month of school the Navigators have worked on a puppet production that went along with our folktale study and our new found interest in King Arthur (thanks to the middle school play, Smote! A Knight's Story.)  It truly was a gifted student collaboration as we designed and created puppets, wrote scripts that included the various characters, made props and backgrounds, made posters and distributed them throughout the school, practiced practiced practiced and finally put on two shows, one for our parents and one for our Seabury friends. The kids were in their element!

Stained Glass Artist in Residence

Lloyd Bondy, a local glass artist, came for two weeks and taught us about glass art. We each made a stained glass mosaic and the entire school is corporately working on a stained glass table top. The table's diversity theme will shine brightly, especially when the sun hits it just right!

Lloyd's Signature Look. It looks a lot like Seabury!

Helping cut the glass. Only one person got cut the entire two weeks--it was Lloyd!

Each person picked out a skin shade for the head and a clothing color for the body.

All it needs is the grout and it will be finished.
